Inspired by the Condong Sugar Mill, this painting explores the way places become part of us. Rather than documenting the mill literally, I was drawn to its atmosphere—the towering forms, the surrounding cane fields and the stories held within the landscape. Through layered marks and abstracted shapes, the work invites viewers to find their own connection to a place that continues to shape the identity of the region.
